FeaturedCompact under-sink reverse osmosis system — 1200 GPD two-stage filtration with NSF-certified membrane, twist-and-pull filters and LED filter-life monitoring
The Compact Reverse Osmosis (RO) System delivers filtered drinking water at the kitchen tap from a unit small enough to live under the sink. At 447 × 150 × 435 mm it occupies roughly the footprint of a cereal box laid on its side, which matters in a cupboard that already has to hold a waste bin and the plumbing. Filtration runs in two stages. The first combines PP sediment and carbon block media — marked PCB on the unit — to take out grit, chlorine, odours and organic compounds. Removing chlorine at this point matters more than it appears: chlorine degrades the RO membrane behind it, so stage one is protecting the more expensive element as much as it is treating the water. Stage two is an NSF-certified high-flow RO membrane that reduces dissolved solids, heavy metals and the contaminants a carbon filter alone cannot address. Rated at 1200 GPD — roughly 4,540 litres a day — with a delivered flow of 3.12 L/min, it fills a glass in about five seconds rather than trickling, which is the usual complaint levelled at domestic reverse osmosis. Both cartridges twist and pull out by hand, so a filter change needs no tools and no plumber, and an LED indicator reports filter life rather than leaving you to guess. Supplied with a dedicated drinking water tap, tubing and installation kit. Installation requires a mains socket under the sink and a drain connection for reject water.
