Two-stage 10" water filter housing with 3/4" brass ports — sediment then carbon in series for domestic and light commercial supply
The NJP 10" Double Water Filter Housing puts two 10" bowls on a single bracket so water passes through two filtration stages in sequence. The usual configuration is sediment first, carbon second: stage one strips out sand, grit and rust, which both improves the water and protects the carbon in stage two from clogging prematurely — a carbon cartridge fed unfiltered water is wasted quickly. Stage two then addresses chlorine taste and odour. Because the two bowls are plumbed in series rather than in parallel, flow is not additive; the unit passes the same 40 L/min as the single 10" housing, with a modest additional pressure drop from the second stage. Both bowls take standard 2.5" × 10" cartridges and the ports are 3/4" brass. The two-stage arrangement suits domestic supplies where taste matters as well as sediment, and light commercial installations where water quality has to be consistent.
