Corrosion-resistant fibreglass vessels for softener resin, carbon and multimedia filtration — 39L, 50L and 104L with 2.5" top connection
| Size (in) | Volume | Ø × H (mm) | Connection | Max Pressure |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 × 35 | 39 L | 250 × 875 | 2.5" Top | 10 bar |
| 10 × 44 | 50 L | 250 × 1100 | 2.5" Top | 10 bar |
| 13 × 54 | 104 L | 330 × 1350 | 2.5" Top | 10 bar |
FRP water treatment tanks are the pressure vessels that hold the media in a filtration or softening system. Wound from fibreglass reinforced plastic, they are light enough to position by hand and will not corrode internally the way a steel vessel does, which is what makes them standard for treated and untreated water alike. The vessel is what you fill, and the media decides what the system does: softener resin for hard water, activated carbon for chlorine, taste and odour, or sand and multimedia for sediment and turbidity. The same tank serves any of these, so specification is a question of matching vessel volume to the treatment duty and the flow the property needs. All three sizes take a 2.5" top connection and are rated to 10 bar working pressure and 50°C, with the black skirted base included so the vessel free-stands once filled. Tanks are supplied empty — no media, valve or distributor tube — so media, control valve and internals are specified separately to suit the water being treated. Sizes are quoted in inches by convention: 10 × 35, 10 × 44 and 13 × 54, giving 39, 50 and 104 litres respectively.
